The PIBBLE Project launched with the objective to target the status quo of social media, whereby media contents with intellectual property rights are not being properly valued online. PIBBLE seeks to establish a blockchain based social sharing platform coupled with an integrated reward concept in order to solve the problems of media contents which do not properly compensate so-called ‘sharing’ activities of users.PIBBLE combines the concept of blockchain based blog services with media contents. PIBBLE is a social image service that is similar to Instagram, but also integrates a compensation scheme in cryptocurrency. Currently, it is difficult for content creators to earn proper rewards because people are reluctant to pay the rightful costs for image contents. The PIBBLE service provide rewards for both creators and participants who are active in its social platform.
