Rocket Pool (RPL) is a decentralized Ethereum staking protocol that lets users earn rewards by pooling ETH together. Instead of running your own validator, you can stake smaller amounts securely through its network of node operators. RPL is its native token, used for governance and incentivizing node operators.
Unlike solo staking, Rocket Pool allows Ethereum holders to stake any amount (not just 32 ETH) by pooling resources. It’s decentralized, with node operators handling validation while users earn rewards proportionally.
It uses smart contracts to distribute staked ETH across its node network. Validators run the chain, while stakers receive rETH (a liquid staking token) representing their stake + rewards, tradable anytime.
RPL has a fixed supply and is minted only during initial distribution. It’s used for governance votes and as collateral by node operators to join the network, ensuring security.
RPL is an ERC-20 token, compatible with wallets like MetaMask. Holders can vote on proposals or provide liquidity; stakers interact via Rocket Pool’s dApp to mint rETH.
