Nestlé sets up logistics with IBM Blockchain

Nestlé Implements IBM Blockchain for Logistics Tracking
The platform, powered by Blockchain Hyperledger, keeps records of the origin, transportation and sales of GUIGOZ Bio 2 and 3 milk blends. Anyone can access the information by simply reading the QR code from the bundle with the help of smartphone.
This technical solution:
increases consumer confidence;
provides transparency of logistics;
proves the quality of the products offered;
helps build trust between consumers and the brand.
Previous Blockchain Projects by Nestlé and Carrefour
This is not the first experience of using blockchain technologies in Nestlé and Carrefour logistics:
IBM Food Trust has been successfully used since April 2019 to track TM Mousline products.
A little later, Carrefour launched the Quality Line project to control the supply of whole milk, meat, fruits and a number of other products.
The implementation of these programs has brought companies a new standard of transparency and high standards of service. Immediately after that, the demand for food supplied by Nestlé and Carrefour increased — because consumers were sure that they were free of GMOs, antibiotics and pesticides.
Earlier we wrote about another interesting experience of using blockchain technologies in logistics last week. The company Mina Stones with the help of blockchain began to track the path of precious stones from the moment of production to sale.
