V-ID team

V-ID started as a natural addition to our activities as WIDIDI, a development studio based in Rotterdam and London. We have been developing secure platforms for the last 10 years for clients in industries like maritime, medical, finance and defence. These organizations constantly produce sensitive documents, issue certificates, produce audit trails, all things that are hard to protect against unrightful manipulation. As tech enthusiasts, the core developer team got interested in blockchain some years ago. The emerging possibilities, together with the challenge we had, sparked the idea for V-ID. We started thinking about the feasibility around the start of 2017, and developed the basic concept in the months after that. After some initial success, with the first clients using V-ID, we realized that V-ID was different than our normal projects in terms of universal usability and scalability.
