Fraudsters Stepped Up After Istanbul Hard Fork

EthereumGiveaways

This type of fraud has pretty much evolved in recent years. Attackers began to create separate pages and even YouTube accounts in which they upload videos from meetups and cut other events with the participation of Ethereum developers.

Fake accounts are carefully designed and seem to be reliable. Most often in each of them, you can find 3-5 videos with headings such as:

Ethereum has come a long way. Celebrating a world-wide event, we open an airdrop at 20,000 ETH! Go to the promo portal, send from 1 to 500 coins to the specified address and get 10 times more

Naturally, these messages have nothing to do with Ethereum.

The long-awaited Istanbul hard fork really took place on the cryptocurrency network. The project program code was updated on block #9069000, mined by Chinese miners from the SparkPool pool. Vitalik Buterin confirmed this information in his tweet.

Ethereum cryptocurrency is now compatible with Zcash and is more resistant to DoS attacks. Its community is strong and loyal enough without any airdrops.

NeironixGiveaways

The publication of such ads is a frequent form of fraud. Any well-known company is subjected to similar attacks, and we are not an exception.

On Thursday, December 5th, we found similar spam in our feed on FB. In this regard, we recall that our team does not hold any promotion related to sending money to dubious wallets.

All information on the Neironix project is published on the site and in official social networks, not in the comments, as the scammers did, but in the feed. Be careful and cautious!
