LG Follows Samsung: South Korean Giant Releases A Smartphone With A Crypto Wallet
LG registered a trademark, called ThinQ Wallet. The application lists three ways to use it:
- Software for computer service, based on blockchain technology;
- Cryptocurrency wallet;
- Payment application for smartphone.
It's also interesting that LG uses ThinQ marking on the G7+ smartphone now.
We remind you that the company has been studying blockchain possibilities since 2017.
Then LG Electronics was testing Corda from the R3 consortium, a payment system, based on notary nodes.
The blockchain technology and cryptocurrency is gradually adopted by smartphone manufacturers. In early 2019, another South Korean giant, Samsung, released a phone with a cryptocurrency wallet and a built-in Blockchain KeyStore.
