The Central Bank of the Russian Federation views the hidden Mining as one of risk factors of information security of the Russian banks. About it writes the Banki.ru portal with reference to the statement made by the Artem Sychev- deputy chief of general security and protection of information by the Central Bank head department.

The Central Bank can count hidden Mining as a cyberrisks

"This may have an impact on sustainability and can be included in the reporting of finSERT as a risk factor", - Sychev has told during the interviews to journalists.

This branch coordinates information exchange between their own sources, law enforcement agencies, lending and non-lending financial institutions and also developing recommendations in the areas of information security at implementation of money transfers.

According to Sychev, the Central Bank will start working on the risks related to the hidden Mining as soon as in Russian legislation the legal status of cryptocurrencies and mining will be defined.

Earlier the Bank of Russia valued loss to cryptocurrencies' users against malicious acts in the current year at $1,36 billion.
