On July 13, 2019, the Grozny Summit on Supporting Entrepreneurship and Innovation was held in the city of Grozny, which in the future should become one of the leading international platforms for discussing key issues in the business environment.
An important part of the summit was the start-up fair, organized by the Russian Association of Design and Aviation Development in cooperation with the Administration of the Head of Grozny, the Government of Chechnya and the Zayed Foundation. More than 25 projects of Russian and international teams were presented at the fair, representing various implementations of the latest technologies: blockchain, AI and machine learning. The participants included projects from Neironix, Cryptoworld, All.me Digital Ecosystem, MUST Platform and others.
Pitch session was held at the summit, following the results of which individual projects held individual consultations with Arab investors and reached preliminary agreements on the further promotion of start-ups at other investment sites.
Investors and experts from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, as well as experts Mohammed al-Jabir and Faisal al-Shimmari from the Khalifa Foundation, which is one of the largest accelerators in the Middle East and North Africa, took part in the pitch sessions.
The last pitch session is the first major event aimed at developing infrastructure and supporting innovative projects. Thus, the Acceleration program ZAYED INNOHUB (innoz.ru) is being prepared by the Grozny State Oil Technical University with the financial support of the Sheikh Zayed Foundation to support entrepreneurship and innovation.
During the current year, it is planned to organize events with the involvement of Arab investors, aimed at the development of innovative Russian start-ups. Therefore, consultations are currently underway with major Russian acceleration sites and teams that offer infrastructure projects in the field of leasing and insurance with the use of new digital solutions.
