While European regulators are quite biased towards the Libra project, Switzerland is ready for dialogue.
This became known yesterday, October 1, when Mark Branson, CEO of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) spoke out at the Bloomberg event in Zurich:
We are not here to make such projects impossible, we will respond to them with an open mind.
Note that Switzerland has long been the center of the blockchain of more than 700 companies in the country. Of course, it`s the government`s merit since it maintains a favorable climate, helping the development of the digital economy.
Mark Branson also added:
I am much more nervous about projects which develop in a dark corner in the financial system somewhere, spread themselves out through cyberspace and one day are too big to be stopped.
Earlier we wrote that Visa and Mastercard intend to leave the Libra association.
