The unique algorithm of PoS in PRIZM does not depend on any implementation of the “coin age” concept used by other PoS cryptocurrencies, and is resistant to so-called "nothing at stake" attacks. Curve25519 encryption is used to provide a balance of security and required processing power among with more commonly used SHA256 hashing algorithms.Blocks are generated every 60 seconds, on average, by accounts that are not blocked on network hosts. PZM is redistributed by including transaction fees that are awarded to the account when it successfully creates the block. This process is known as “forging” and is akin to the concept of "mining" used by other cryptocurrencies. Transactions are considered safe after 10 block confirmations, and the current architecture and the size of the PZM block allow processing up to 367,200 transactions per day.PZM also includes the implementation of the Transparent Forging function, which will increase the performance of transaction processing by two orders of magnitude using the algorithm of generation of a deterministic block, in combination with additional network security mechanisms.
