In July 2023, Bitget initiated a large-scale rebranding campaign highlighting its dedication to "Trade Smarter".
Founders
Bitget was released in 2018 by a company of progressive crypto enthusiasts, led by CEO Sandra Lu and Managing Director Gracy Chen. Having experience in the traditional financial sector, they began studying blockchain in 2015, inspired by the technical documentation of Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Location
Bitget is registered in the Seychelles and functions in a decentralized format, aiming to establish an optimal operational headquarters. They have already opened offices in Asia and Latin America and have intentions to broaden their footprint in the global market, with planned expansions in Europe and Africa.

Catering to people in over 100 countries, Bitget imposes restrictions in specific jurisdictions, including the United States, Singapore, North Korea, and Sudan.
Assets Available
Bitget supports over 500 assets. Among the prominent coins, you will find BTC, ETH, BGB, SHIB, and many others.
Commissions
The fees are calculated based on a trader’s role (whether they are adding orders to an order book or fulfilling them). BGB holders that use these tokens to pay the fees receive discounts. Same world for those reaching certain levels in the VIP program.
Traders on the spot market pay a 0.1% fee. For BGB holders willing to pay a commission with this token, it is reduced to 0.08%. Futures traders are charged 0.02% (makers) and 0.06% (takers).
Users that want to cash out, pay the withdrawal fee. It always depends on what exactly asset you use and the current market situation. Pay attention that minimum withdrawal thresholds may also vary.
Is Leverage Available?
The maximum leverage possible for trading reaches 125X in futures and up to 10X in spot. It’s crucial to check out the fee policy before using this or that instrument on the platform, to avoid misunderstanding and unexpected expenses.
