Alipay Service Bans All Bitcoin Transactions

On October 10, Alipay executives made an official statement on their Twitter channel, where they warned that the company was closely monitoring all transactions on its network and would necessarily detect irrelevant behavior in order to ensure compliance with the relevant rules.

This step follows various reports that the Alipay gateway is used for bitcoin transactions, which spread after the announcement made by Binance crypto exchange on the eve of the fact that it began to accept fiat currencies online through the Alipay payment service, as well as a mobile application for exchanging messages and making WeChat payments.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said that the exchange does not work directly with WeChat or Alipay. This announcement followed the opening of the Binance peer-to-peer trading for Bitcoin, Ether (ETH) and Tether (USDT) against Chinese Yuan (CNY), which we reported earlier.
