Bitcoin Analyst Willy Woo Sees Bullish Signals Despite Recent Consolidation

Despite failing to surpass $70,000 recently, Bitcoin (BTC) continues to exhibit bullish signs according to prominent on-chain analyst Willy Woo.
Woo highlights a period of consolidation for BTC over the past two and a half months, emphasizing a significant underlying demand for the cryptocurrency. He suggests this consolidation indicates further price appreciation before reaching its peak.
On-Chain Metrics and Capital Inflows
Woo points to a steady increase in Bitcoin's net capital flow throughout May, following a period of lows during consolidation. This, he argues, signifies an upward trend.
He additionally identifies positive factors such as rising demand and inflows into Bitcoin ETFs, alongside a resurgence of bullish sentiment among retail traders in the futures market.
Whale Accumulation and Price Outlook
Woo also emphasizes a strong accumulation of Bitcoin by whales (large holders) during consolidation. He notes a significant number of Bitcoins leaving exchanges, potentially putting upward pressure on the price.
While acknowledging $73,000 as a significant resistance level for BTC, Woo predicts a surge to new all-time highs (ATH) if the price surpasses $72,000. This, he explains, would trigger substantial short squeezes, rapidly propelling the price towards $75,000 or higher.
"In my opinion," Woo stated on Twitter, "it's only a matter of time before fundamental demand triggers a price squeeze."
Woo's analysis suggests a potential reversal for Bitcoin after a period of consolidation, with fundamental factors potentially driving the price towards new highs. However, surpassing key resistance levels remains crucial for this bullish scenario to unfold.
