According to official information, at 13:06 on November 27, 342,000 ETH ($49.2 million) was withdrawn from the Ethereum hot wallet to an unknown wallet with the address 0xa09871AEadF4994Ca12f5c0b6056BBd1d343c029.

Since the problem was discovered, UpBit representatives suspended deposits and withdrawals of cryptocurrencies and started urgent checking of servers to protect users' assets. All funds available on hot wallets were transferred to cold ones.

The exchange announced it plans to return the lost funds at its own expense to the affected users as soon as preparation work is completed, which will take at least two weeks.
