Chinese Blockchain OneConnect Announced IPO

Earlier, the Reuters news agency reported that OneConnect planned to carry an IPO for a larger amount. The sale of shares for $1 billion was planned in early 2019 in Hong Kong, but this plan did not come true. The company management considered the USA to be a more promising area for an IPO. It is easy to explain. 

China is quite closed in financial and other fields. The United States and China have been going through quite tense relations at the political and economic levels over the past six months. If the IPO is approved, this could be a real precedent, and many Chinese projects will follow OneConnect.

OneConnect Financial Technology

The Chinese company has been actively developing in the Asian market since 2015.  It is part of the Shenzhen Ping An business group and received funding from SoftBank (Japan).  And now it may become the second Chinese blockchain after the Canaan mining project, raising funds for development from the USA.
