Bitmain Launches World's Largest Mining Farm

The new plant is working in Rockdale, Texas and has a capacity of 25 MW. The official press release of the company announces that this value will be increased to 50 MW soon, and the total capacity of the farm can reach a record 300 MW in the long run.

Also, Bitmain is going to focus on stimulating the local economy of Rockdale with a population of about 90 thousand people. The company representatives said they plan to launch educational programs and training on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology in local educational institutions in the future.

The world's largest Bitcoin mining company was built on the site of a former now inactive smelter. Recall, Bitmain's ambitious plans became known for the first time in August 2018, and the grand opening of the largest mining farm in the world occurred 14 months later.
