Libra Will be Provided With Fiat Currencies

Half of the total fund will be presented in US dollars, the remainder — in other currencies:

• 18% — euro; 
• 14% — Japanese yen;
  
• 11% — pound sterling;
  
• 7% — Singapore dollar.
  

As you can see, the national currency of PRC is not mentioned in this list. As many experts said, this fact can play into Mark Zuckerberg’s hands, because the absence of Chinese yuan will force US senators to look at Libra from a different angle. Earlier, officials expressed their worries about the impact of China on the US financial climate through the frauds with digital currencies. 

Providing Libra with fiat money will help the coin to become more stable. This fact is the reason for worries of many officials, who are against the launch of this project. They believe that Libra contradicts the national interests and it may undermine the state sovereignty. As you remember, earlier we wrote that German Finance Minister made the similar statement.
