The head of Kuaidi Dache wants to create Uber on the blockchain

According to Chen's WeChat post, a new platform announced on Sunday at a special event after the 2018 Guiyang BigData Expo will be developed in conjunction with Jan Yun, co-founder of One of the largest Chinese apps for Meituan coupon sales.

Although Chen did not say which blockchain platform he would use to develop the application and how he planned to cope with scalability issues, his new project is still quite remarkable, as the entrepreneur has a wealth of experience in the industry.

Kuaidi Dache service was founded by Chen in 2012 and almost instantly became very popular. His main rival in the market was riddering-app Didi Chuxing.

Both companies were funded by venture firms and Internet giants like Tencent and Alibaba, but joined each other in a tough business war, constantly reducing the price of their services. In 2014, the companies United and together became the largest racing application in China called Didi Chuxing. Later, the group forced Uber out of the Chinese market.

Chen's plan to integrate blockchain into his solutions is not surprising – the head of Funcity is one of the largest investors of blockchain projects in China. According to a February article, Chen has invested in at least a dozen cryptocurrency projects, including major trading platforms such as Binance and Huobi.
