Kaspersky Study Reveals Low Public Trust in Bitcoin and Crypto

The study was being conducted for two months (October - November) in 2018, 13,434 people from 22 countries participated in the interview, according to the Kaspersky Lab website.

Almost every sixth person (or 14%) of those who don't still use cryptocurrency, would like to purchase some digital assets in the future. Almost one fifth of the people (or 19%) who already use cryptocurrencies, suffered from hacker attacks on exchanges, 15% of them became the victims of another kind of cryptocurrency fraud. These and other system gaps caused the cryptocurrency refusal.

31% of interviewees who had used cryptocurrencies, said they refused digital assets because of their high volatility, in particular, the users' reluctance to constant rate leaps. Moreover, the respondents are also scared of the bearish market, and that cryptocurrencies don't make quick and large income, as it was before.

23% of the research participants voted for both reasons of cryptocurrency refusal. At the same time, 22% of respondents claimed they had stopped using cryptocurrencies because they were not provided with real assets. The risks of theft and fraud were named by 19% and 15% of people, respectively.
